Enjoy the sun, light and colors during 4 seasons in Tourettes Sur Loup !
During the period / season you choose, you are invited to stay in a original southern French villa surrounded with a beautyfull provencal garden with pinetrees, swimming pool and a big patio. The villa has one of the best locations in Tourettes sur Loup with a magnificent view over the sea, the mountains and the provencal landscapes. Tourettes Sur Loup and the surroundings is the area where the painters Matisse, Chagall and Cezanne had their studios and their homes in the last years of their lifes. At the height above the small historical middelage town of Tourettes, in the heart of Provence / Cotes des Azur and close to many famous art museums and historic sites.
Choose your favorite weeks and experience light and colors trough 4 seasons.
The painting workshop is suitable for everyone and every seaon have her own caracter according the particular light and the colors which is enlightening the landscape. Both, beginners and those with some experience from before are welcome to participate. The theme of the course is Color and Landscapes in Provence, where painters as Cezanne and Matisse is the source of inspiration. We will paint outside in the beautiful garden that surrounds the villa and you can choose between winter, spring, summer or autumn experiences. We will visit museums, see the art, experience the provencal light and color and work to convey it in a personal way in our painting.
You can choose if you want to stay 1 or 2 weeks and you can follow us trough all the 4 seasons. If you are staying 2 weeks, it will be time for specialization in your own theme and more individual customized tuition.
The visual artist Annette Martens will lead the teaching.

About Villa Le Reve, the villa in Vence where the painter Henri Matisse had his studio and home the last years of his life :
Vika Kunstskole is not arranging art trips to Villa Le Reve anymore. The way the villa is administrated, does´nt show the respect this great world artist is deserving.
Velcome to Villa Paradis !
Villa Paradis is located at the height of Tourettes Sur Loup with a stunning view over the old middelage village and the sea. The villa is surrounded by a large and lush provencal garden. The villa has a high standard with nice rooms and some of the rooms also have a balcony with a seawiew. In the garden there is a swimming pool, several terraces, a well equipped kitchen and dining space both indoors and outdoors. Villa Paradis has room for about 12 participants. If you want a single room it is possible at an additional cost.
